Job description
Renewable energy needs large-scale energy storage. Otherwise, the power stops when the sun sets, the wind dies or the grid shuts down. The ideal energy storage for stationary use can be cycled endlessly, lasts for decades, never catches fire, and is already in commercial service; in other words, a vanadium flow battery (VFB).
We’re the leader in VFBs. Invinity has contracted for or installed the largest flow batteries ever delivered in the UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. Our projects are funded by governments, utilities, and independent power producers. Our project pipeline is growing dramatically around the world.
Invinity is deploying large-scale projects throughout the UK and internationally. We are looking for a Project Manager who will develop and manage all aspects of our customer facing activities, from contract award and through delivery, commissioning and through-life support activities across multiple concurrent energy-storage projects. You are comfortable working to a budget and a schedule, effective in communicating with customers and internally, organized and driven..
All product delivery projects have a lifecycle, and Invinity’s are no exception. Before the sales contract is signed, you’re consulted to ensure the promises made are reasonable and practical. Once the contract is signed, you own the customer relationship.

Budgeting: you are comfortable with updating, tracking, and reporting on budgets for each delivery project.
Meetings: you plan, invite participants to and conduct customer meetings, track resulting action items and follow through.
Reporting: you regularly report verbally and in writing project status and adherence to schedules and budgets.
Oversight: you take the broad view, but can drill down in any area, having a good idea of what is going on with all the players all the time.
Negotiation: you enjoy finding win: win answers even in challenging negotiations
Technical: you understand technical projects, but you also know when to consult with Invinity’s and industry experts.
Team Management: you spend time building and effectively managing a team, making their effectiveness your effectiveness.
Relationships: you naturally build lasting relationships with vendors, partners, customers, and colleagues, understanding that effort is required but is well worth it
Significant experience in Project Management in a technical industry, ideally in a global environment (energy industry knowledge/experience would be advantageous however not essential)Experience in project management budgeting and scheduling; and developing and managing product and service-delivery programs, teams and schedules
