Introduction
As a successful Technical Project Manager in Technology Expert Labs, you will lead a team of technical experts to ensure the formulation, development, and implementation of software-defined networking projects that meet and exceed the client's critical business objectives, helping them with the design, orchestration, automation, monitoring, and management of their enterprise- and carrier-level networks. In this role, you will work closely with client stakeholders and the IBM team to meet the overall integrated solution plan, budget, schedule, and staffing requirements while exceeding your client's expectations.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Project Leadership
  • Creating and executing project management plans, including scope and change controls, communication plans with stakeholder meetings, status reporting and project health metrics, and deliverables management with time and financial controls
  • Cultivating teamwork and problem-solving while working under delivery expectations and deadlines
  • Being able to motivate, be realistic, assertive, decisive, enthusiastic, supportive and always in pursuit of excellence.
  • Work closely with clients, Partners and the IBM team to meet the overall integrated solution.
  • Project Delivery
  • Navigating across venues to resolve issues, developing and document risk mitigation strategies and provide project direction that quickly builds credibility and influences as a trusted advisor
  • Driving client satisfaction and ensuring project completion on time and budget as per the Statement of Work
  • Report and strategize solutions for managing project metrics including project health, financials-costs, revenue, and gross profit, team productivity, and client satisfaction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Project Management experience with Telecom carriers, large enterprise customers, or cloud providers/customers
Must be able to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments
Prior experience delivering OSS software projects
Familiarity with management of core networks
Familiarity with Cloud Computing orchestration tools, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Kubernetes/OpenShift
Experience Managing 3rd party and internal delivery resources to achieve projects goals
Financial knowledge and experience of managing and forecasting project revenue and cost
Experience with Change, Risk, and Scope management
Project Management experience (PMI or Prince2 accreditation preferred)
Project Management Tooling and Methodology
Ability to develop technical briefs
Ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience
Exhibited understanding and is sensitive to customer business requirements

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with network security solutions is a bonus
