Job Introduction
We’re recruiting a Project Manager to lead an exciting new project to deliver training and engagement work to Armed Forces’ personnel and the organisations that support them. The Armed Forces Development Project is the first of its kind and is a great opportunity to make a real difference to understand how to better support those in the Armed Forces at risk of, or already experiencing harm from gambling.
The role has initially been funded for just over two years, with the key deliverables being: gambling awareness training for Armed Forces personnel and support organisations, insights workshops and networking events to understand the needs of this cohort, and the development of client support models that apply best practice for supporting those in the Armed Forces to reduce gambling related harm.
Role Responsibility
- Project management - ensure the Project meets its KPIs by developing and prioritising project plans
- Line management - line manage the Training and Development Coordinator to raise awareness of gambling harm in the Armed Forces
- Stakeholder engagement - build partnerships with senior stakeholders through themed insights workshops and networking events
- Information and research - gather insights on gambling harm reduction in the Armed Forces, disseminating this externally to enable better identification and support of those experiencing gambling harm
The Ideal Candidate
As the successful candidate you’ll be responsible for ensuring the success of the Project. You’ll need to network with stakeholders across the Armed Forces and the organisations that support them; securing buy-in and expanding the reach of the Project.
With demonstrable experience of managing successful projects, building productive relationships with senior stakeholders as well as those with lived experience, you will have honed your skills in project management and engagement enabling you to prioritise, support staff in your team and meet KPIs effectively.
Package Description
Project Manager (Armed Forces Development Project)
Full Time, FTC until approx. Feb 2026
Starting salary: £43,734 (London) or £40,301 (rest of UK)
Location: Work from home with occasional travel to the London office (approx. twice a month) OR work from the London office

- 33 days basic annual leave entitlement per annum (pro-rated for part-time colleagues) including bank holidays which increases with service
