The Associate Project Manager Level 4 apprenticeship is aimed at those involved in all levels of project management, enabling them to work effectively and efficiently to ensure their organisation operates successfully.
It promotes the disciplines of project management and programme management, helping project professionals in becoming certified professionals, offers events & webinars, digital resources, professional recognition, and career development.
You will be instrumental to support and coordinate projects within the EFC Team and to support the local EA team as well.
Step by step in your role, you will develop from coordinator to project manager which will establish your path in this fulfilling and rewarding career.
You will learn what it takes to plan, organize, coordinate and budget a project from start to finish. To have real interacting with customers and to have a purpose driven and impactful role within our organisation.

THE APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING:
- This programme is a 18-month training course fully funded by FTI Consulting, provided by Babington and APM.
- You will spend approximately 20% of your time doing a mixture of formal training, coaching and work-shadowing.
- The remaining time you will spend 'on-the-job', working and making a real contribution to our business.
- You will be able to put your newfound knowledge into practice with your experienced teammates always on hand to help you.
- This will involve "on the job" training, virtual visits from an Apprenticeship Coach, an internal line manager to provide ongoing guidance, online learning and will support you in creating a portfolio of evidence to substantiate your progress.
- You will be working towards an End-Point Assessment (EPA) which will determine if you have the knowledge, skills, and behaviours listed in the Business administration Standard.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As a Project management Apprentice, you will be required to undertake (but not be restricted to) the following activities as part of your role:
- Supporting Executive Assistants and their teams
- Assisting with arranging meetings
- Maintaining contact databases
- Diary management
- Running client conflict checks
- Booking international travel
- Time entry and expenses
- Event planning, support and eventually management
- Creating project plans
- Coordinating small and long term projects within the organization
- Creating presentations and communication plans
- Leasing with clients, internal stakeholders and external providers
- Organizing and maintaining order of all project overviews
- Applying project management methodology to day to day project work
- Keeping everyone informed and involved
- As well as these activities, additional tasks may be requested as required by management.
Qualifications - External
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 x GCSE qualifications at Grade 4 - 9, to include Maths and English at Grade 5/6 (B)
- Applicants should have one of the following:
- A College BTEC Level 3 in Business administration, project management or event management
- A completed apprenticeship in level 3 for either Business Administration, Project Management or Event Management
- 2 passed A-Levels
- Or 1 years of practical experience working within an office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail - you consistently ensure that you review your pieces of work and submit to a good standard even during busy times
- Creativity and proactivity
- Experience with Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent Organization and Time management- you can juggle different activities, have an understanding about priorities and flag if deadlines won't be met.
