Responsibilities
Responsible for the day to day and the long-term planning, directing, managing and execution of events hosted by Florida Institute for Child Welfare (FICW). Strategically manage, plan and execute FICW events on and off campus. Including but not limited to receptions, seminars, meetings, conferences, lectures, speaker series, symposia, and webinars. Determines and oversees events arrangement including venue reservations, catering, photographer, videographer, parking and transportation, permits, equipment, entertainment, event signage, seating charts, name tags and any other special requests. Directs logistics such as timeline, budget, marketing, staffing for events and speakers. Ensures all events align with the Institute's goals. Provides pre/post event information for media communications and collaborate with College of Social Work external relations personnel. Manage post-event activities such as provide feedback/appreciation, surveys, track costs, handle invoices with administrative specialist. Monitors the success using a variety of metrics including but not limited to stakeholder and student participation, giving totals and event attendance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and four years experience or high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
- Experience with event planning.
- Experience working with a team.
- Ability to monitor event budget.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Anticipated Salary Range
Starting at high $40s, commensurate with experience
