FDM’s Returners Programme

We have teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) re/Start to offer Returners to work the opportunity to restart their career working in project delivery in the Cloud space. No previous experience in Cloud required to join the programme. Does this sound like the right opportunity for you?

Our Returners Programme is specifically designed to support professionals returning to work after a career break.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for returners to enter the Cloud space within a project management role. You will work with technical teams to create Cloud business solutions, responsible for project management and successful delivery.

At the start of the programme, you will receive 10 weeks of fully funded training to refresh your existing skills and gain knowledge in Cloud. The training has been developed in partnership with AWS re/Start to offer a complete skills development programme for returners who are looking to restart their career working in Cloud Computing. No previous experience in the Cloud sector required.

Upon completion of the AWS Cloud and IT Fundamentals online training you will become an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and a fully-fledged FDM Consultant. You will have the opportunity to work with one of our industry-leading clients as a Project Manager within a Cloud Engineering team for a minimum of two years.

After the two years, you can remain with FDM or to carry on working with the client as a member of their permanent team.

What we offer you:

  • Training hours of 9:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday during the ten-week training period, to help accommodate personal commitments
  • Opportunities to work as an FDM consultant within a project management role with our global clients

Essential experience and criteria required:

  • Looking to return to work after a break in your career
  • Minimum one-year career break
  • 5 years commercial/technical/business experience (no previous experience in Cloud required)
  • Interest in tech projects and desire to step into a new and emerging industry
  • Be able to work full time
  • Be able to commit to a two-year contract with FDM once the ten-week training period is complete
