What will you be doing?

The Project Manager will manage the delivery of medium to large scale projects; and / or workstreams within wider programmes. This role is responsible for the successful controlled delivery of these projects; and as part of this will be responsible for preparing business cases, undertaking analysis, supporting design; configuration; testing and leading training / stakeholder communications.

some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Manage several concurrent projects at a time, dependant on size and complexity as agreed with the Head of Strategic Programmes.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to time, cost & quality and within agreed tolerances
  • To work with key stakeholders to understand the project requirements; vision and required resources to prepare business cases and gain approval to proceed.
  • Day to day lead from initiation through to design, implementation, training and closure.
  • Maintain key project information in central repository including scope/ approach documents; project plans; risk, issue assumption and decision logs
  • Capture concise and accurate meeting minutes, actions and decisions in a timely manner
  • Collate & compile slides and papers for programme & group governance forums
  • Ensure effective training & communication is delivered, considering multi-channel delivery to reach required audiences.
  • Ensure delivery is embedded and can be effectively supported
  • Capture and feedback lessons learnt to help form future approaches for projects and programmes.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven track record of delivery and a proactive approach to managing projects
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Project Management methods and leaderships skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of budget control
  • Excellent presentational and formal communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills in core Microsoft Office systems
  • Project Management qualification (for example, Prince 2, PMP, AgilePM)
