Job description
Electricity North West has an exciting opportunity for a talented Project Manager to join our inclusive and collaborative team. This full-time Project Manager role is based in Blackburn and offers a favourable salary and benefits package. You'll be responsible for managing Customers in terms of communication, relationship, variations, and progress reporting, earning a salary of up to £65,000 for your expertise.
As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of and proactively seek resolution of all issues associated with work on the customer’s distribution network, including optioneering, discussions and negotiations with the customer. Ultimately, you will ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health, safety and environment legislation, customer contract obligations, and manage sub-contractor commercial terms whilst at all times providing an excellent service to our Customers.
To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:
- Own the end-to-end Customer journey, providing an experience that delights the customer at every interaction
- Be the key point of contact for the customer, providing a high level of expert technical advice and options and planning for current and future potential projects
- Investigate and report on any operational accident and/or including any “near-miss”
- Ensure project income and costs are controlled and actioned in a timely manner
- Provide technical/operational advice and support to the Engineering Manager and the rest of the team
The successful Project Manager will need engineering experience, ideally in the electricity/utility industry, and must be commercially aware with experience controlling costs and contract variations. Additional qualifications include:
- Proven experience controlling commercial contract variations and project costs
- Project management experience
- Hold an SMSTS CITB safety qualification
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
- Have experience in managing and developing delivery teams
