Overview: ENERCON Wind Energy UK Ltd. are seeking an experienced General Project Manager (GPM) to join our team. Based in our Edinburgh office the GPM will be responsible for the execution of wind farmprojects in the Western Europe region. The GPM will ensure a seamless delivery of projects and have a strong focus on controlling the project timeline, quality and cost, from the planning stages through to customer handover.
Main Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Ensure that Health & Safety is the top priority throughout allphases of the project
- Support Sales during the initiation phase regarding planning,creating the project timeline and the aligning the scope of supply.
- Initiation and coordination of project optimizing measures incooperation with internal stakeholders
- Coordination and technical management of the Site Managers,Engineers, Logistics Coordinators and external subcontractors
- First point of contact for the customer during all phases of theproject delivery
- Monitoring the project schedule and initiating steering measureswhere necessary
- Control services rendered in regard to quality and cost
- Support the Commercial Project Manager with contract and claimmanagement
- Continuous internal and external reporting ensuring relevantdocumentation is maintained
Qualifications and Profile:
- Ideally you will hold a degree in engineering, preferably in the field of civil or mechanical engineering
- Ideally you will be experienced in site management as well as project management
- You should have a high level of commercial acumen
- You should be able to work at height
- You will be highly flexible and willing to travel within the region
- You should have a strong command of the English language and it would be highly advantageous if you speak a second language
- Highly organized and proactive with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships
- Good working knowledge and proficiency in MS Office, with an advanced knowledge of Excel is essential
- A basic knowledge of SAP R/3 would be beneficial.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £55,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
