Job description
An integral part of the PMO Team, the Project Manager is responsible for ensuring project deliveries are delivered on time, within scope, budget and to a high quality.
Working out of our UK head office with predominantly agile based teams, achieving key results for our business and customers.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The role holder will be responsible for:
- Planning and coordinating project deliveries
- Managing senior and key stakeholders
- Project reporting
- Creating and maintaining project plans
- Managing project budgets
- Leading change initiatives
- Being a driving force for the PMO
- Best practice innovation (agile and waterfall)
- Assisting the Dept. Manager with strategic planning initiatives
PERSON/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
The job holder will be an experienced Project Manager, with a proven track record of successful delivery. In particular they are required to have:
Essential
- Demonstrate project success.
- Experience of working on different change initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of change management techniques
- Exposure and understanding of agile methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Strong leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The desire to continually improve processes and make a difference
- The ability to thrive within a small team with significant business wide responsibility
- Ability to work self-sufficiently and as part of a team
- Good problem solving ability
- Project management certified (Prince, PMP etc)
Desirable
- Good understanding of IT procedures and technical jargon
- Experience of working in software development and / or telecoms
- Experience using JIRA and/or Confluence
