Job Title: Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt
Salary: £57,635 - £62,000 (Depending on Experience)
Location : Peterborough
Benefits: 25 days annual leave,
Up to 18% bonus
Car Allowance - £600pcm
Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%
Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution.

The Opportunity:
Working within the Order to Delivery team, you will lead strategic and operational Lean projects to deliver business benefits across the people, quality, velocity, and cost elements of our business. The project focus is diverse, with projects spanning the IPSD Medium Engines business and often across multifunctional groups including enterprise partners.
Projects will range from having a local, regional, and global focus and will span across all aspects of our business from Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance & Operations.
Building a network to collaborate across different business groups is key. You will be required to manage a portfolio of business improvement projects, as well as leading individual Lean projects, improvement workshops and value stream transformations. You will also be required to support the deployment of Lean training through your role as a Lean practitioner and provide coaching to team members and project Stakeholders and Leaders. As part of this role you will need to communicate and interact with people from all levels of the organisation requiring good oral and written communication skills.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage a portfolio of improvement projects
Lead complex strategic & operational projects to deliver customer benefit
Lead multiple projects to eliminate waste, solve problems and deliver tangible improvements
Complete current and future state value stream mapping
Deliver lean focused training programs & increase problem solving capability within the OTD group
Coach and develop lean capability in the wider teams and with Senior Leaders
Deploy lean throughout the OTD group and broader IPSD-M business
Lead and coordinate OTD Lean transformation
Coach senior leaders in lean methodology
Through Change Management techniques, support the development of a lean learning culture & promote the involvement of everyone
Identify & drive continuous improvement opportunities
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will demonstrate they have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
Proven project leadership & Change management experience
Deep expertise of lean principles and experience of the deployment of these tools.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to influence at different levels of the organisation
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross functional groups
Process and solutions focused
Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
6 Sigma knowledge/qualification
Analytical capability, competent user of one or more of the following tools, Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau etc.
Strong business networking skills

This opportunity would suit someone with an existing 6 Sigma qualification or Lean experience, training can be provided to the right candidate if required.
