About this role
You’ll be working in BT Active Intelligence division, part of BT Data & AI Solutions (BT Digital). Within Active Intelligence, we blend cutting-edge data science with AI and Machine Learning to crunch location, movement, and web-behaviour data to provide actionable insights into how each target demographic behaves. We bring clarity, focus and precision to our clients’ business, marketing, and policy decisions.
The team has big growth ambitions centred on building innovative, customer-centric propositions. We are now looking to add an accomplished Project Manager to the team who will own the delivery of advanced analytics and AI products and reports, as well as engage with external client and technical experts to validate requirements.

You'll have the following responsibilities
  • Manage the progress of technical projects, ensuring team workflows are communicated and well-understood by different team members
  • Ensure that owned projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed and that lessons are learned and recorded to improve future project delivery
  • Manage costs, timescales and resources; assess and implement changes where variances from the plan occur, and identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project
  • Define, document and execute small projects or sub-projects, agreeing and reviewing project approach, engagement and communications plans, and quality and performance criteria with project partners
  • Ensure engagement and involvement of stakeholders throughout the project, verifying that outputs meet the required standard, and facilitates effective working relationships between team members

You'll have the following skills & experience
  • Experience managing complex projects in large organisations using project management tools.
  • Experience presenting complex subject matter to a range of different audiences.
  • A good understanding of data products and services.
  • A good understanding of agile values, principles and methodology and are an ambassador for embedding agile into project teams. You have and promote a growth mindset.
  • Knowledgeable on standard best practices as defined by a professional project management organisation. Certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP are preferred.
