The Transformation department, encompassing the Programme and Portfolio Delivery Team, plays a vital role in effectively driving the BA Roadmap. This department covers various crucial areas such as program and project management, financial management, resource management, plan/schedule management, scope management, and both waterfall and agile methodologies. As the role holder, you will assume responsibility for delivering all project management activities within the assigned projects from the BA Roadmap, ensuring seamless integration into steady state operations and fostering continuous improvement. You will also be accountable for defining resource demand forecasts, managing resource levels, and ensuring budget targets and program/portfolio objectives are met through ongoing plan and schedule management.

You must possess the qualities of an engaging and empathic leader, with clear and articulate interpersonal skills. In this role you’ll be required to excel in both individual and team leadership and management, demonstrating a highly organised and structured approach. With a track record of delivering projects in a defined and efficient manner, prioritising the business needs of customers. Consistently meeting deadlines, cost, and scope parameters, you will make well-informed decisions within defined parameters. Your commitment to continuous improvement drives you to excel in all aspects of the role.

About you:

  • Demonstrable experience of successful project delivery across functions and directorates, with a particular emphasis on IT programs.
  • Effective leadership skills, including the ability to motivate individuals and teams in a matrix management environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence partners at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and handle expectations.
  • Strong risk management capabilities, including identifying risks, developing options, and implementing plans.
  • In-depth knowledge of contingency planning and mitigation strategies.
  • Aptitude for challenging the status quo through well-structured and fact-driven arguments.
  • Proficiency in budget, schedule, and scope management.
  • Experience in handling both external and internal suppliers, including contract management and negotiation.
