Role: Project Manager - Cloud Data Migration

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months, with the possibility to extend

Rate: day rate, dependant on experience

Contract: Outside IR35

Location: Hybrid - Mostly remote working. with some on site work in London every 1-2 weeks

· IT project manager with 5 years’ experience

· Experience in datacentre, application migrations at scale, including Cloud.

· Understanding of Kanban/Scrum/Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team.

· PMP, Agile Scrum Master, SAFe, PRINCE2 or similar certification

· Insurance sector experience

We are seeking a Project Manager / Cloud Migration, for our London Market/insurance client.

The Cloud Migration - Project Manager, is responsible for delivering migration projects. You will be part of the Cloud Migration team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the Cloud migration projects to ensure migration execution in line with established planning and factory capacity / velocity. Working with planning managers, application teams & factory.

· Identify & establish mitigation / action plans to address issues during migration execution.

· Monitor & report on migration execution, providing regular reporting & KPIs to stakeholders & leadership teams.

· Ensure effective communication across all actors during migration execution & facilitate the resolution of migration blockers to maintain migration velocity.

· Create project plans that outline the project scope, schedule, budget and resources requirements.

· Identify project Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies, develop and manage RAIDs log to minimise or mitigate risk/issues, and communicate those in relevant governance.

· Set up and manage milestones, manage, and guide team members to achieve them.

· Monitor and report progress against plan and adjust plan to ensure the project stays on track.

· Manage budget ensuring delivery within budget constraints.

· Ensure project deliverables are high quality and are delivered on time.

Make sure migration to production is managed properly, to avoid major incident and impact on quality of service.

· Provide leadership and direction in a positive and productive manner.

· Ensure transparency and trust by communicating and reporting regularly with stakeholders and teams.

Skills & Experience:

· IT project manager with 5-10 years’ experience.

· Experience in datacenter, application migrations at scale including Cloud.

· Experience in leading internal & multi-cultural projects in English.

· Ability to drive actions & decisions in complex matrix organizations

· Fluent in both written and spoken English.

· Ability to adapt to changing requirements, focus on iterative and incremental delivery.

· Understanding of Kanban/Scrum/Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team.

· Customer orientation / added value, simplify in a complex organisation, autonomy and proactivity

· Ability to listen and understand complex requirements, team spirit and willingness to share knowledge.

· Proven planning and organization skills

· Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience (PMP, Agile Scrum Master, SAFe, PRINCE2 or similar certification)

· Ability to identify and solve problems quickly, including team management, project risk and technical challenges.
