Job title: Project Manager
Location: Govan
Salary: Up to £59,000 depending on experience and skills
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage project scope to ensure that all aspects are fully defined to ensure customer requirements are achieved as well as ensuring the accurate recording and reporting of progress of planned targets for budget, schedule and quality
- Translate contracted requirements into a complete and coherent plan of the work to be performed, including a schedule, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Organisation Breakdown Structure (OBS), work packages definitions, resource plan and associated documents
- Provide regular plan / schedule updates including earned value monitoring, estimates to completion and preparation of inputs to Control Account Manager (CAM) and project reviews
- Stakeholder management of a multi-disciplinary team in a project environment
- Build and maintain effective liaison with all functional groups involved in project delivery to enable all functional, quality and other requirements of projects to be delivered and to resolve project issues effectively
- Provide advice and recommendations to senior programme managers and directors to support decision making
Your skills and experiences:
- Experienced project professional with extensive knowledge of project management (tools, techniques, practices) in a complex engineering/production environment
- Able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions
- Developed communication and diplomacy skills. Able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders
- Experience in guiding senior stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain and Production
- Proficient understanding of project lifecycle management
- Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management

The Naval Ships Project Management team:
The individual in this role will report to a Head of Project and will be charged with the delivery of work scope in support of the delivery of the fast-paced hands on Type 26 programme. Establishing and maintaining project structures, proficient stakeholder management of a diverse group of stakeholders and problem solving with the aim to resolve issues will be key to this role.
