Avetta is looking for a Localization Project Manager with experience in Client Support, Training, Product Operations and Marketing content localization as well as Machine Translation enablement. The candidate must be highly organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a growth mindset.
You will be in a role that is a hybrid of traditional jobs in planning, project management, and operations reporting to the Sr. Director of Localization. You will be able to operate across geographical boundaries, have cross-cultural sensitivity and experience of interacting directly with stakeholders and clients proactively defining best practice playbooks and processes entering Avetta's software platform into new geographies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Client Support, Product Operations, Sales, Marketing and Training) to ensure successful content localization
- Manage multiple projects by establishing appropriate stakeholders, priorities, timelines
- Oversee end-to-end content localization workflow using our TMS tool and other technologies
- Triage projects to vendors including ETA of each workflow step, project briefing, budget, reference materials and properly prepared files
- Implement in-context reviews identifying localization issues at source and facilitate final reviews of highly visible content
- Ensure high-quality and timely deliverables from LSP and LQA vendors
- Manage TMs, Glossaries, and Style Guides
- Maintain content libraries ensuring content is relevant and up to date
- Track and report on quality, cost and turnaround times of your projects quarterly
- Create and monitor content localization project budgets including cost tracking analysis
- Lead content planning and training sessions with internal stakeholders ensuring project requirements are met
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on best practices to ensure content is created with localization in mind minimizing issues at target
- Develop, document and implement efficient and scalable localization processes
- Proactively drive improvement initiatives in anything related to localization (processes, quality, data, tools)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or suitable equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of managing content localization projects for a SaaS organization
- Effective communication, problem-solving and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail
- Experience localizing training and marketing content such as video, eLearning, knowledge center articles, campaigns and marketing websites
- TMS, JIRA, Confluence, Wrike, Salesforce, Marketo systems experience desired
- Proficiency in localization requirements of different file types: indd, psd, ai, cvs, pptx, JSON, etc.
- Experience implementing and training Machine Translation solutions
- Deep knowledge of linguistic asset optimization
- Fluency in English in addition to one of the following languages: French, Japanese, German, Dutch or Chinese
- PM Certification and PowerBI knowledge are a plus
