Project Manager x 2 – Inside IR35
Contract Term: 5 Months (Possibility of extension)
Contracting Authority: College of Policing, The Home Office
Location: Remote Working (Occasional travel for key meetings and site visits)

Due to the urgent need to fulfil this role, the successful candidate must have active SC Clearance
The main duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager would be to:
- Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
- Day to day management and leadership of the project and the project team. Set project controls. Design the project structure appropriate to stage. Select and apply appropriate delivery methodologies.
- Coordinate development of the Business Case.
- Track delivery within budget.
- Schedule / manage resources to deliver the project. May work independently or with a small team.
- Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned. Ensure appropriate Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place, and monitor longer term delivery of benefits against the Business Case.
- Identify key stakeholders and develop effective relationships.
- Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate.
- Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making.
- Support or set appropriate project assurance.
The deliverables for this role would be:
- Delivery and Resource Planning
- Scoping and product definition
- Development of Programme and Project Management Governance
- Delivery of Key Project Management Documentation
- Procurement Activity Oversight and Coordination
- Supporting the PEQF Programme Manager in project management activities that will lead to increased levels of delivery confidence
You’ll have:
- Please note that, due to the nature of this requirement, active SC Clearance is a pre-requisite and application without cannot be considered.
- Experience of working on change projects having successfully delivered and embedded change.
- Experience of undertaking market engagement, tender processes to support successful procurement of new systems and solutions.
- Excellent negotiating and networking skills, able to form beneficial working relationships internally and externally
- Excellent oral and written communicator, able to engage with and present to a range of audiences and represent the College effectively when engaging with system suppliers and partner organisations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments to deliver programmes and projects successfully and to challenge and remove any unnecessary barriers to service delivery.
- Commercial acumen focused on delivering high quality service to customers and clients.
Recent and relevant experience in project management with proven track record of successful delivery of programmes to users or clients as measured in time, cost and quality benefits. * Successful experience of applying project management processes and procedures within a PRINCE2 environment
- Experience of applying and maintaining effective project tracking systems
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner or Agile Practitioner qualification
- Degree or extensive equivalent experience
