The role:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our PMO team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and to develop the skills necessary to become a PMO analyst.
A PMO analyst apprentice in Technology is a junior role responsible for supporting the PMO team in the coordination and management of the technology portfolio of projects. The main goal of a PMO analyst apprentice is to gain understanding of portfolio and projects and the associated governance, complemented by hands-on experience in project management to develop the skills necessary to become a PMO analyst. The skills of a PMO analyst can include tasks such as creating project schedules, monitoring project budgets, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
Your Learning:
On completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded with a Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship (BSc (Hons) Project Management. Below are some of the things you can expect from this apprenticeship opportunity:
- Assisting in the development of project plans and schedules
- Monitoring project progress and updating project tracking systems
- Participating in project status meetings and taking notes
- Supporting project risk management activities
- Gathering and compiling project data for reporting purposes
- Assisting with the preparation of presentations and project status reports
- Providing administrative support to the PMO team
What are we looking for?
For a PMO Analyst Apprentice, being organized is key. You should be able to handle multiple tasks at once and make sure everything gets done on time. You also need to be detail-oriented, able to keep track of project information and report it accurately. Good communication is a must. You should be able to speak and write well, and make sure everyone involved in the project understands what's going on. You should also be a problem solver, able to understand information and come up with solutions. Being proactive and taking ownership of your tasks is important. You should be eager to learn and contribute to projects. Being open to learning and growing is also a must.
For this role, you should have at least 8 GCSEs and 3 A-levels, with at least one of them being in a STEM subject if possible.
