In this key position, you will take responsibility for the leadership and delivery of complex projects that will ensure RRSL has the technology developments it needs to support its customers’ requirements. This will require a proactive approach to programme management that ensures the projects are initiated, and then controlled adequately in line with the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan and agreed with the Programme Manager.

What you will be doing:
You will support the engineering function through the definition and initiation of new work, alongside the control and management of contracted work.
- Lead projects within the technology portfolio; attending the monthly schedule reviews, manage internal and external stakeholders and relationships, provide information necessary to make management decisions to the key stakeholders
- To lead on all aspects of forecasting including monthly updates and quarterly/annual forecasts as required by the business and MoD for assigned package of work
- Key in building up Basis of Estimates for new packages of work
- To responsible for of budgeting, cost change and cost reporting, both internally and externally for the assigned projects.
- To manage the data in all systems including SAP and Coupa ensuring accuracy and alignment working with the wider dept.
- Directly support the CAM in various project management activities to include risk, reporting, project control and governance
- Ensure the creation and management of an integrated set of plans / schedules between P6 and SAP; ensure the implementation of company management processes is effective and efficient.

- Experience of Project management and planning and control activities and ideally, project management qualification e.g. APM, Agile etc.
- Knowledge/experience of SAP, Coupa and Primavera P6 is required.
- Experience of Estimating, Forecasting and Change Control
- Strong planning and organisational skills to manage short, medium- and long-term activities and deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
