Job description
Wernick Buildings, a leading manufacturer of modular buildings, are seeking a Project Engineer to be based at their national manufacturing facility in Kenfig. Wernick are a long established company and are involved in a wide variety of construction projects throughout all major construction sectors, including full design and build.
Applicants must have an extensive working knowledge of drawing office procedures, Revit, Building Regulations, Building Design, MEP and External Works.
Duties to include
- Preparation of drawings for Sales, Factory and Client
- Provide information and liaise with Materials Schedulers, Estimator, Sales, Factory and Contracts
- Liaise with the client from order to handover on all technical matters as part of the project
- Visit sites and carry out surveys as necessary
- Liaise with Consultant Engineers as may be necessary
- Appraise and process projects at sales stage and on through the order stage
- Handle and process correspondence on contract variations
- Process projects as directed by the Head of Technical Services
- Work within defined Q A procedures
- Prepare work for Building Regulation Submission: England, Wales & Scotland
Responsibilities
- Ensure drawings are prepared correctly and on schedule. Work outside normal hours of business, if required to do so
- Maintain Drawing Register
- Keep up-to-date with current Building Regulations and any other regulations that may affect our products
- The co-ordination of projects from receipt of order to despatch
- Raise contract variation forms against official written instructions from clients
- Keeping all Company information secure
- Ensuring that our designs meet client requirements and meet current Building Regulations and Fire Office requirements
