Fairport Tunnelling Technologies (FTT) became a newly established division of Fairport Engineering Limited in 2021. Fairport Engineering Limited have now been acquired by pxGroup and as a result FTT has now become pxFairport (Sunderland Division)
Based in the North East of England, we are an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specialising in the design, installation, management and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates and ports. With long standing industry expertise, our recent history includes successfully delivering projects in the UK, Europe and Asian markets.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer is responsible for the scope management, timely delivery and technical authority of all projects-related engineering tasks, ensuring that the design is thoroughly reviewed collating the portfolio for the technical file. The project engineer must develop the specification and design briefs for all designed assemblies, specify all major bought out components, compile technical documentation, plan and monitor engineering deliverables ensuring both internal and customer requirements are adhered to.
Minimum Requirements:
Time served apprenticeship, ONC or NVQ equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience.
Change management and process controls.
Able to interpret customer specifications, along with national and international standards.
Specification development and scope control.
Customer and supplier technical queries.
Experience working within an Engineering environment.
