Our client is Europe's busiest ferry port, handling 33% of UK-EU trade, worth £144bn per annum. Each year more than 2 million freight vehicles, 2 million tourist vehicles and 10 million passengers pass through the Port. They also welcome more than 120 cruise ships, 150 cargo vessels and 4,000 leisure craft in their marina each year. They have a vibrant and growing property portfolio and are transforming the waterfront with new amenities and activities that are making Dover a great place to live, work and enjoy under the famous White Cliffs. Providing the infrastructure to support this diverse and busy 24/7 operation requires a dedicated team of people working in a diverse range of roles. As part of a significant infrastructure project, you will oversee the buildings apsect of a large project fron inception to completion. Construction companies "framework" contractors, operational teams and several port estate stakeholders will all need to work together to deliver the project in a live, functioning port environment.
This is a fixed term contract until 2027 (estimated)
Skills and Qualifications
- BSc/BEng in Construction Management / Building / Building Services or similar
- Project Management Qualification from APM or alternative relevant professional organisation or demonstrable experience
- A min of 4 years of demonstrable experience in a senior project position for building construction projects
- Fulfilling the role of Project Manager under the NEC contracts
- Managing a portfolio of construction projects
- An understanding of CDM regulations and Health and Safety Legislation
- MS Office & MS Project
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 48 months
Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
