We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team at a leading oil and gas business based in Basingstoke. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective project planning and scheduling, utilizing your expertise in Primavera 6 software. Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, incorporating all relevant activities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, identify key deliverables, and define project objectives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze project risks to develop accurate and realistic project timelines.
  • Utilize Primavera 6 software to create, update, and maintain project schedules, ensuring they align with project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and provide timely recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Regularly review and analyze project data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement in project planning and execution.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, highlighting key milestones, critical paths, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Support the project team in resource planning, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in project planning and scheduling methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Primavera 6 software for project planning and scheduling.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to project planning and scheduling in the oil and gas sector.
