Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting a PROJECT ENGINEER for our Glasgow site, to lead the development and delivery of innovative commercially relevant projects and demonstration activities, with a primary focus on offshore wind operations and maintenance (O&M).
This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership to collaborations with industry, supply chain, academia and innovators, enabling the deployment of future O&M assets and strategies.
What will I do?
- Lead technical input for projects under the O&M theme and related topics
- Provide technical guidance for offshore renewables, both internally and externally
- Work with industry stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges for offshore wind operations and maintenance
- Support the development of innovative commercial and research projects
- Keep up to date with latest developments and relevant technologies and share knowledge and best practice across the engineering team
- Manage and review engineering deliverables in line with project aims and quality standards
What are we looking for?
- Degree in engineering or related subject, or equivalent experience
- Experience of the offshore wind, or relevant industry
- Knowledge of O&M requirements, innovations and technologies
- Awareness of key industry stakeholders
- Good knowledge and use of engineering practices and standards
- Project leadership in a technical environment
- Experience of developing project proposals, scopes and delivery plans
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and under time constraints
