FULL TIME - Location: 301 W. Hurst Blvd., Hurst, TX - Factory -
This position provides Engineering support for the purchase, construction, installation, and modification of production facilities, including electro/mechanical, design and specification. Provides engineering support for the facility including troubleshooting existing equipment and preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Prepare and help manage the capital budget for the facility.
- Prepare capital asset requests for new equipment or facility modification including justification.
- Analyze packaging equipment for effectiveness and submit recommendations on cost reduction and production feasibility.
- Provide engineering support for all safety programs.
- Develop layouts, specifications, utility requirements, conduct time studies and prepare cost estimates for new installations and facility revisions.
- Develop drawings and specifications that will facilitate equipment layout by outside contractors or internal staff.
- Coordinate contract negotiations for work to be performed by outside contractors and ascertain that engineering specifications are maintained as the project progresses.
- Supervise the installation or modification of equipment by contractors or the maintenance department.
- Establish a continuing preventative maintenance program for all new and revised installations.
- Investigate new plant engineering processes and techniques for application in the operation of the plant.
- Assist the maintenance team with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequently kneels, stoops, crouches, bends, climbs, reaches overhead, pushes, pulls, and grasps.
- Works around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors.
- Accurately distinguishes colors.
- May be required to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
- Frequently carries, relocates and/or lifts up to 70-pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers).
- Stands and walks on concrete surfaces for up to 10 or 12 hours per day.
- Eighteen (18) years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA regulations.
- Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in liquid filling.
