Overview:

Energy Resourcing are actively seeking an ambitious Senior Cost Engineer to join their client's Aberdeen project delivery team on a 12-month contract basis.

This is a great career opportunity to join a large oil and gas project, offering career development and personal growth. The Cost Engineer will review and comment on project control procedures to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

Cost control systems set up.
Maintenance of Project Cost Control System.
Accurate cost control reporting concerning budgets, commitments, VOWD, and forecasts, as per contractual requirements.
Produce and review monthly portfolio Cost reports with Client Budget holders.
Approval of requisitions in line with approved budgets.
Prepare internal portfolio reports for monthly reviews.
Development and enhancement of processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Change Order Coordination and Control.
Project Commercial close-out and benchmarking.

Qualifications:

HNC or relevant experience.
Previous cost experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
Experience in working to tight deadlines.
Capable of communicating with project groups and third parties to agree on standards, systems, and processes to meet the project and Client requirements.
Capable of proposing improvements/developments of systems and processes.
Capable of identifying and providing input to Cost related improvement initiatives.
Capable of managing a coordinated approach to resolving procedural issues promptly.
Sound IT skills, familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, etc.
