Job description
Our Swindon site is looking for a Project Engineer to work within our engineering project function, managing projects from conception to completion including programme, procurement and delivery within a GMP change control process. The role is responsible for all aspects of the project from Health & Safety to costs.

The Role
To be responsible for the planning, development, procurement, implementation and installation of a variety of facilities, plant and equipment to provide an effective and efficient manufacturing site.
To ensure projects are accurately specified, budgeted and planned to meet the objectives of the sponsors’ scope.
To raise Capital Appropriation Requests, ensuring the authorising personnel have all the justification for the proposal that will enable the authorisation to be carried out in a timely manner.
To raise all necessary file documentation for the project to enable good management and delivery of the project, ensuring quality compliance and delivery of success criteria.
To continually review new and existing technical developments to ensure new manufacturing equipment can sustain future competitive advantages.
To coach and support the operational side of Engineering prior, during and after project implementation.
To manage all Health & Safety and Change Control activities related to engineering projects, including training and documentation as required.
To generate CAPX initiatives, working with project managers, contractors, site personnel, as well as customers to ensure compliance and successful project delivery.
To manage current and future engineering activities related to upgrading existing plant and equipment control systems when required, to deliver the projects on time and in full ensuring the business benefit is delivered.
The Candidate
Engineering qualification at HNC level or equivalent experience or full time served apprenticeship in engineering – essential.
Proficient level of Microsoft Office Skills including Excel, Word and Projects - essential
Health & Safety - Nebosh National Certificate in Construction - essential
Project Management – PMP Certification - essential
AutoCAD qualification or experience - Desirable
