Job Description

Are you a current Project Management Project Director looking to work on building projects or infrastructure that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?

If so, we are looking for a Project Management Project Director to join our team in London Project Management team to work across Residential projects in the private sector. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

A team of 100 Project Managers based in our London Aldgate Tower office i who deliver complex and exciting projects throughout the region and beyond, in a range of sectors.

This team forms part of the wider UK& I Programme, Project & Cost Consultancy business unit that employs over a 1000 people.

Job Responsibilities:
You will:
+ As Project Director provide oversight, leadership, direction and control of large and complex projects.

+ be required to lead full multi-discipline commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.

+ be an expert in your chosen market sector or sectors and be able to offer strategic advice to both Clients and the teams working with you commensurate with a Project Director grade.

+ ensure commissions are managed to the highest quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.

+ ensure internal reporting on project progress is accurate and timely and is in accordance with AECOM’s internal governance procedures.

+ develop strong relationships with clients and members of cross-functional teams.

+ seek out and secure new work opportunities with new and existing clients and working alongside others in the team to develop and secure new opportunities for the London and South East Region.

+ oversee the team of Project Managers, assisting them with their projects as well as mentoring and developing their careers.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
+ Relevant professional qualification (MRICS, MCIOB, MAPM)

+ Significant experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business

+ Experienced primarily within large, complex residential developments in London

+ Excellent communication and organizational skills

+ Excellent working knowledge of JCT contracts and experience of acting in the capacity of Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent

+ Demonstrable ability to lead, mentor and grow a team

+ Demonstrable success in winning new work and growing client relationships

+ Demonstrable track record in successfully delivering complex projects

+ Willing to travel to London or across the Eastern region as needed to meet Client requirements

+ Proactive and team player
