Job description

As a Project Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing remarkable stores that uphold the Starbucks Customer Experience while meeting cost, schedule, and operational requirements. You will collaborate with a team of talented professionals and external consultants to bring our design vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop schematic and design development drawings, along with selecting palettes, under the guidance of the design manager.
- Manage the production of design documents by external designers and consultants, ensuring adherence to scope of work, needs, and code requirements.
- Review drawings for design intent and detail coordination.
- Conduct site visits as required, under the guidance of the design manager.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in periodic schematic and design reviews.
- Lead periodic market tours and take initiative in exploring innovative design solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail and/or brand design.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Skilled in creating and delivering compelling PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong project management experience.
- Ability to manage design consultants and foster relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in interior design or equivalent field.
- Proficient in sketching conceptual layouts and technical drawings.
- Clear and concise communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong visualization skills in 2D and 3D.
- Familiarity with color and design principles.
- Ability to execute multiple designs within tight deadlines.
- Effective visual, written, and verbal communication of design concepts.
- Translate design principles into unique store locations.
- Experience with VectorWorks is a plus.
