Job description
Our client are looking to recruit an Project Design Engineer for a growing team based in Milton Keynes. You will play a crucial role in supporting custom projects and new project development, supporting the team with daily projects to meet customer requirements and help with the organisations growth. Role Work with internal stakeholders with project requirements and objectives Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies Create and review engineering drawings, documentation and specifications Work alongside teams to include procurement, manufacturing to ensure projects run smoothly Participate review meetings and presentations to incorporate changes and gather feedback Work closely translating product development with Research and Development teams Being innovative to generate new product ideas and solutions Monitor product performance, analysing and implementing improvements if required Tracking of project progress to ensure timely and successful completion Communication of project status to internal and external stakeholders Ideal Requirements: Engineering Degree/Qualifications OR many years of experience within the industry Experience within plastic moulding. CNC machining, casting and sheet metal forming Three years of developing new products - conception to development Solidworks experience, preferably with own Solidworks Licence Project management skills Experience of working to tight deadlines, with hands on approach and a quick learner Good IT skills; excellent written and verbal communication Able to work to right deadlines Managing multiple large projects This Project Design Engineer is working for a leading manufacturer who supply to well-known companies globally.
