Big Issue Group is looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about social activism and change, to support our programmes team to deliver best quality outputs and ensure top quality data.
This is an essential role for BIG as we develop our Project Management Office and capacity. You will act as a critical link between the business units, operations and the leadership team to coordinate, monitor and report on the delivery of TBI strategic projects.
As such you will be exposed to a wide variety of exciting departmental and cross group projects which are designed to achieve tangible impact for our service users. In turn, you will have the opportunity to develop expertise across a wide range of project and programme management disciplines.
You will support managers across the Group with key project management activities and ensure they stay on top of deliverables to avoid delays and best manage risk. This role will also be central to telling the story of our work and to developing a learning culture.
As a Project and Data Coordinator, your main responsibilities will involve:
Support the launch and planning of strategic projects, coordinating input from people across the group to achieve cohesive documents containing all essential information.- Monitor project risk, roadmaps, milestones and KPI’s to ensure progress against deliverables is visible and teams have access to high quality management information
- Be the first point of contact for project data enquires and requests, this may lead to data analysis and the development of CRM reports and dashboards.
- Use BIG platforms and databases to maintain and communicate management information
- Support managers to report on their projects at regular intervals.
- Ensure all new projects have adequate data systems in place at their inception to deliver the required data for impact and business reporting.
- Provide coordination to various projects across the group which need additional capacity
- Advise managers on project lifecycle best practices (such as setting KPI’s, creating Gantt charts, monitor project tasks, leading projects teams and more) in line with PMO guidance
- Manage day to day cost tracking and the preparation of spend requests
Salary and Benefits offered
- The salary up to £32,000
- Incremental holiday entitlement starting at 25 days per year plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time staff) plus paid leave to care for a sick child or grandchild and a sick or elderly relation

Workplace details
This role could be based at our Big Issue office in London, Glasgow, Birmingham or Cardiff with occasional travel within the UK
