The Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing global arts and culture projects and for supporting business excellence across the Arts & Culture Vertical. Direct management of high-level stakeholder projects may also be required ad hoc.
As an open-source, proof-of-stake blockchain, Tezos resources are often readily available to those with web3 knowledge and skills. But the traditional and web3 arts and culture sector require both leadership and specific guidance for the success of new use cases, innovations and presentations. This role requires project management oversight across different ecosystem entities, supporting Business Development pipelines and workflow and direct PM client management where required. The candidate will build on insights from the Arts Vertical Team and ecosystem thought leaders to drive all Arts & Culture projects to success based on specific KPIs.
Overall, the role will require management of internal and external projects, workflows and tasks, supporting the Arts & Culture Vertical team (approx 5 ppl) and regional entities. External project management will be required on an ad hoc basis and may include but are not limited to blockchain-based museum exhibitions, events, gallery presentations, tool-building, marketplace integrations, wallet optimisations or other ecosystem entity activations. The candidate must show an ability to take on top-level strategic project management and individual, bespoke project management; to work with global teams and to find solutions for commercial and partnership leads. The candidate will also work closely with the Head of Art to develop a system of best practices and resources for effective project management execution that can be translated across regional teams. The candidate will be responsible for recording and evaluating projects on which they take ownership, and liaising with the global Arts Vertical Team to record and learn from project-based experiences.
Main Activities:
- Project Management - Support senior staff with pipeline tracking, project tracking, scheduling, and regional coordination; support external projects where required.
- Event Organisation - support meetup and event organisation initiatives throughout the year, gathering a central database of preferred partners and resources
- Relationship nurturing - foster relationships with resource providers to execute on NFT / curatorial / educational and use-case driven projects for top-level and commercial leads and partners
- Evaluation - Work with the Arts Vertical Team to outline KPIs and to evaluate projects accordingly, building a record of success
- Role Allocation - Work with regional project managers to divide and conquer global opportunities, pairing teams where required
- Execution - Take ownership of top-level projects, working closely with partners and Tezos engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure success and excellence
- Liaising - work across the global arts vertical, across entities with different systems to develop consistency in project management, tracking and recording that can accommodate different teams and requirements
- Representing Tezos - represent the Tezos ecosystem at Web3 Art NFT events in the region and meet with leads and potential partners
Please note, this person will be required to travel, when necessary, as a representative of the Tezos ecosystem.
Essential Requirements:
- A true passion for projects, problem solving and business excellence
Experience with Asana or equivalent project tool. - A minimum of 1-2 years working experience in Project Management or Executive Administration, ideally in a technical or investment environment.
- Proven relationships management/account management experience
- A passionate self-starter with a willingness to learn, an eye for detail, a sense of urgency and diligence
- A team player with outstanding written and oral communication skills; comfortable with collaborating across different functional teams and departments, while remaining focused on the project goals
- Proficient in spoken and written English, ideally proficient in other European languages (especially French)
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Junior project management experience with the ability to quickly learn and onboard knowledge and tools
- Drive and creativity to lead and collaborate with ecosystem partners
- Ideally some blockchain or web3 experience
- Communication skills to invite buy-in from Tezos leadership and Arts Vertical Team
- Determination to develop specific goals and to balance priorities for maximised success according to agreed upon KPIs
- The ability to be agile and pivot quickly based on new requirements and competition
- Commitment to follow deliver results as the project management team is built - with agility to redefine roles and responsibilities as leads and opportunities grow
