Job summary

We are seeking a driven, dedicated, efficient, flexible, and hard-working individual to support the continued growth of the research centre, with a particular focus on the management of our complex projects, grant applications, communication, and marketing activities. The role will involve working with the Director and Executive Director along with other members of faculty, research and administrative staff and key Imperial College and external collaborators.

Background

Established in 2017, the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI) — one of the largest and most active research centres at Imperial College Business School — leads large-scale research projects involving faculty across Imperial College London and other leading academic institutions. We look beyond the traditional boundaries of medical science and technology, healthcare systems and public-health infrastructure. We embrace complexity, recognising that health is determined by many factors interacting within systems that shape behaviours and outcomes.

Benefits

As Imperial College staff, in addition to a competitive salary and package of attractive terms and conditions of service, we offer many more benefits to enjoy. This includes career development tailored to your ambitions, an attractive pensions' scheme, and generous family leave packages. We have a flexible, supportive work environment and encourage you to achieve and maintain a healthy work-life balance!

Duties and responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will work alongside the Centre Director and Executive Director to provide support to the administrative components of grant applications and active research projects. The Centre is a fast-paced environment involving collaborations with academics and policy experts across the world. The ideal candidate will be able to handle working on multiple tasks simultaneously, at pace, while having a keen eye for detail and keeping senior members of the Centre up to speed on developments.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Excellent written and spoken communication and networking skills

  • Strong organisational skills with ability to make long-term plans

  • Fervent attention to detail

  • Flexible attitude towards working hours

  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver multiple tasks at once

  • Able to work independently

  • Administrative support experience

  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team

This full-time post will commence as soon as possible for a renewable term of 24 months, with the successful candidate based at Imperial College Business School, South Kensington. Day to day supervision will be provided by Prof. Franco Sassi (CHEPI Director) & Dr Jack Olney (CHEPI Executive Director).
