What is the role about?
In this role, you would be a member of the Contract team. The contracts team is responsible for the project management of customer orders, which includes planning, organisation and delivery of the contract businesses projects. The team takes collective responsibility for delivering an outstanding end to end customer experience.
This is a full time position with working hours of 38.75 per week, across Monday to Friday.
What will you be doing?
The Project Control Administrator has a key role in managing projects from initial enquiry to installation sign off. Seeking to continuously develop the customer's accounts that you are allocated and take responsibility for providing them with an exceptional end to end service that you would expect from the John Lewis Partnership.
You would provide your customers with project plans and updates of these as required so that projects can be monitored practically and financially. Place orders for the raw materials, finished goods and services required for each project and ensure that the controls established for purchasing of raw materials and finished goods are observed.
You would also book and manage the employed and sub-contracted fitting team, in conjunction with the other Partners that use the same resource, to maximise the efficiency of the fitting team for all concerned.
Where will I be based?
Based at Herbert Parkinson textile factory, in Darwen, Lancashire. This role does offer a blended working approach, involving both home working and times when you’ll be required to work in the office.

Highly numerate and literate and keen to learn about project management
Good communication skills
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure
What else can you bring?
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Wider knowledge of the textile and manufacturing industry, sourcing and sales.
Familiar with Airtable and ACE (AFW) quoting system
