ENFIELD GP FEDERATION
JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER (PSO)
Accountable to: Director of Operations
Responsible to: Deputy Director of Operations
FUNCTION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Assist with the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of both short and long term projects that can vary in complexity by working with the team to ensure the delivery and achievement of the GP Federation priorities.
§ Work to a specified project brief within the practice support and development agenda. This will include the supporting GP Practices to deliver against agreed key performance indicators, demonstrating improvement where appropriate. Planning and coordinating of service reviews
§ Maintain a working knowledge of the key priorities for the GP Federation and ensuring that these are communicated effectively across partners, stakeholders and within the NCL Integrated Care Board (ICB), to support the achievement of organisational goals.
§ Undertake and support specified projects, this include: formulating, monitoring and performance management of complex action plans, organising and planning task and finish groups/meetings, minute taking, liaising with key stakeholders, updates on project progress.
§ Contribute to and support, relevant service review projects utilizing appropriate tools / methodologies and preparing and analyzing project assessments to ensure compliance with agreed organisational outcomes, processes, priorities and targets.
§ Establish effective working relationships with GPs, practice managers and practice staff, colleagues in local authorities, across the NCL ICB and as required across stakeholder system partners
§ Set up robust administration systems to monitor practice activity and achievement of incentive scheme and quality indicators. This will involve managing data bases in order to provide reliable information in which payments can be made to practices. This will also involve communicating with practices on a regular basis. The post holder will need to be proactive in populating the data base with relevant information and filing system.
§ Contribute to the development of and support robust performance management of GP Federation objectives within new service models.
§ Work as part of the wider GP Federation team ensuring that the co-ordination and development of specified areas are integrated as appropriate.
§ Bring together agendas, record and distribute minutes / action logs and reports as required and support key meetings.
§ Contribute to the development of key reports, briefs and presentations as required by providing analysis, conducting relevant research etc.
§ Regularly establish and where appropriate co-facilitate workshops, meetings and training sessions which are often complex to organise. Workload includes booking external speakers, venues, and all required arrangements
§ Identify, review, implement and cascade (as appropriate) up-to-date policies and guidance in areas of responsibility.
§ Prepare reports for the meeting that require collating and analyzing data.
This role profile is not exhaustive and you may be directed to complete other tasks according to the skills and requirements for individual roles. These duties will always be reasonable and deemed within the expectations of your position.

Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or relevant training and experience to degree equivalent level in related function (Practice/Primary Care development, Project Management)
Knowledge and Experience
§ Some prior experience of working within the function
§ Evidence of client facing experience
§ Demonstrable evidence of the use of key performance indicators
§ Working knowledge of the function within a large and complex organisation
§ Experience of working with others using a project management approach
§ Experience of working to and achieving tight deadlines
§ Experience of Primary Care Clinical Systems specifically EMIS WEB and ARDENS
§ Able to work under pressure and competing priorities.
