Duties/Responsibilities
EMCOR UK are offering a Fixed Term Contract (12 months) opportunity as a Project Co-Ordinator working in our busy Site Minor Works team at GSK Stevenage Research Campus.
Job Purpose:
To provide effective assistance to the Project Managers in the delivery of projects and provide excellent communication and efficiency to the wider team. Our co-ordinators are given the platform to feel empowered to dictate the level of excellence delivered from our office. The co-ordinator duties will give you a great foundation to progress within the project/facilities management environment, if you are successful in your role.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Liaise with Clients over start date, delivery date and completion dates.
- Contact suppliers / sub-contractors to ensure their competence is in-line with our governance.
- Drafting project contract agreements for financial documentation.
- Raising purchase orders for suppliers / sub-contractors.
- Prepare necessary information required for billing of completed jobs Complete necessary documentation to place order with suppliers and / or sub-contractors.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding deliveries and invoices with suppliers.
- Assist in the collation of project documents ready for handover.
- Assist in carrying out weekly reviews & audits on individual projects.
- Ensure standardised and uniform approach to all project documentation in-line with EMCOR UK Policy.
- Any other duties as requested by Projects or Construction Managers within reason.
Person Specification
- Thorough understanding of Project Co-Ordination.
- Good organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills – proficient communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Experience within similar role or transferable skills from related role.
- Good IT skills.
- Smart, presentable appearance.
- Personable and approachable.
- Good command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Ability to trust other team members.
- Be transparent in positive and negative situations and trust that the team has the experience to assist when issues occur.
