Nature Neighbourhoods is a National Trust, RSPB and WWF partnership project to help 18 VCSE (Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise sector) partners mobilise their communities and lead positive change for nature and people. The project will deliver a two-year support programme, financial aid of up to £25,000 and support for change with system actors in the local authorities. It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund and supported by Co-op.

We are looking to recruit a Project Support Co-ordinator to support the Nature Neighbourhoods project team. You’ll work with the project manager to ensure efficient use of the National Trust’s Project Management Framework.

We particularly encourage applications from candidates who are representative of the neighbourhoods in which this project will work.

Please see the additional information document attached.

What it's like to work here:You'll be part of NT’s Urban Green team but will report to the Nature Neighbourhoods partnership. The Urban Green team includes people with a variety of skills and experience who work nationally, with partners, to develop innovative solutions to bring nature into the heart of the urban environment.

The role will involve working with partners and is likely to involve some travel to locations across the country.

What you'll be doing:You'll be working directly with the project manager and senior leaders in the partnership to support delivery of the Nature Neighbourhoods project.

Working with the project manager to create an efficient project management environment that helps the project officers focus on delivery. You’ll oversee information management, making sure we’re keeping on top of our objectives, completing reporting in a timely fashion and ensuring we keep internal and external teams appraised of progress.

You’ll support the Project Manager in ensuring project governance is proportionate and will co-ordinate regular meetings of the project team, as well as the wider range of VCSE partners and stakeholders.

You’ll help harmonise processes across the partnership for the team and help all three partners to iterate their best practice for managing projects of this sort.

  • Confidence working with senior leaders to ensure effective partnership governance, monitoring delivery and managing risks

  • Bring a passion for delivering change in urban areas, for nature, and for diversity, equality and inclusion
  • Support innovation by sharing learning
