Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000.00 plus competitive benefits package

Status: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

What will you do?

This is an interesting and varied role. The successful candidate will:

  • Facilitate project events, primarily online, to present an image of an effective, professional organisation representing the needs of small business owners.
  • Oversee the administration of project events, including planning, marketing, administration, analysis and attendance monitoring.
  • Use online events management software to market and manage events.
  • Preparation and distribution of marketing content in relation to events
  • Work with the events and marketing teams nationally to co-ordinate delivery of events
  • Provide on-the day technical support to ensure the project specific events are professional and to a high standard.
  • Ensure that verbal and written communication with customers is professional and markets effectively the events and support services available.
  • Create engaging content as required for external marketing and Customer Services
  • Provide administrative support including event administration research, marketing, and general administrative tasks such as emails, calls and information for reports.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to assist in the execution of project initiatives.
  • Work with the Contracts and Finance Teams ensuring contracts are implemented as per FSB processes and ensuring these are managed and processed.
  • Support the facilitating of agreements with third parties where required to ensure lowest cost and highest quality of service.
  • Support development of strong relationships between FSB and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the introduction of new partnerships, including proposal reviews and contract negotiations.
  • Support in delivery of the Commercial department’s objectives and strategies.
  • Develop reporting/evaluation processes as requested.

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to enable the smooth coordination of activities.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Good telephone manner ability to carry out customer service calls to a high standard.
  • Ability to create and communicate marketing content for local activity.
  • Ability to host online events and manage varying demands of attendees.
  • Ability to respond to immediate circumstances and make decisions to resolve circumstances that may arise during an event.
