Job description
The aim of the role is to provide a customer service focus to projects to ensure they
have optimum success in the areas they are implemented. The role will be to
coordinate key tasks of projects, work with departments to help them plan and
implement new systems and support those teams to communicate new ways of
working.
You will work closely with Project Managers to plan and deliver tasks to customers
within agreed timescales, mitigating risk and issues along the way.
You will provide high quality Project coordination skills to the team, using Microsoft
applications as required to create, track and maintain project documentation and
keep communication levels high to all involved parties.
You will be working in a busy project environment, providing a reliable and confident
service to clinical services undertaking projects, ensuring your work is accurate, on
time and clearly communicated.
1. To assist the manager in identifying and scheduling tasks.
2. To produce and regularly update project plans and reports according to
internal project governance standards .
3. To work collaboratively with the Manager/Project Manager in identifying
operational workflow, procedures, deployment schedules, potential service
realignment and expected benefits of the project.
4. Communicate with stakeholders, Project Teams and all levels of Trust staff to

generate commitment and enthusiasm and persuade potential users to
accept change.
5. Monitor the progress of the project/area against agreed targets, highlighting
any untoward issues, contribute to the adjustment of plans so that the
deliverables are on time, to specified quality and within budget.
6. To identify and evaluate potential conflicts which could compromise the
successful completion of a project and report accordingly recommending
remedial action.
7. To exercise analytical and judgemental skills to support project
implementations by highlighting option appraisals
8. To work collaboratively other services teams providing all levels of support,
advice and guidance throughout all stages of project implementation.
9. To develop specific work packages to implement applications within the remit
of the role
10. Schedule, attend and support project work stream meetings.
11. To assist the manager with communications planning and stakeholder
management

practice and standards are adopted and adhered to.
13. To assist with the development of business continuity plans.
14. Use appropriate methods and sources to obtain and record data for project
monitoring and reporting.
15. Assist with the preparation of appropriate plans, documentation and
procedures.
16. Attend meetings as necessary, to discuss project priorities, report progress
and resolve issues.
17. To assist other departmental managers and colleagues by providing informed
advice or support when appropriate.
18. Work to ensure process mapping and a sound knowledge of systems.
19. Under the guidance of the manager, develop objectives and performance
plans , ensuring that they align with the Team and Departmental objectives
and adhere to relevant national standards and targets.
20. The post holder will work to achieve agreed directorate objectives working
within broad professional policies
21. Provide regular progress and update reports as appropriate, based on
measurable deliverables and outputs.
22. Provide support for audits of their workstream(s) and act on
recommendations as appropriate.
23. Work within project management protocols, and contribute towards their ongoing development.
24. Under the guidance of the manager work within local strategies, policies and
guidance working collaboratively to achieve the successful delivery of projects
25. The post holder will liaise, as necessary, with service leads, and departments
as well as other NHS organisations, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
26. Under the guidance of the manager develop objectives and performance

plans for themselves, ensuring that they align with the Team and
Departmental objectives and adhere to relevant national standards and
targets.
27. In conjunction with colleagues, actively promote quality in all areas of work,
monitoring and instigating effective action where required.
28. Demonstrates systems and/or processes to colleagues new starters.
29. All staff have the responsibility to ensure they participate fully in a
performance review and appraisal process ensuring that any key work
objectives, targets, key performance indicators are reviewed on a regular
basis with their line manager and contribute to an end of year performance
appraisal.
