In this key position, you will take responsibility for the control and delivery of appropriately complex packages of work or aspects of project portfolios. Monitor, review and report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements defined in the Project Management Plan and agreed with the Programme Manager.

What you will be doing:
You will be accountable for the effective and successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work, establish, develop, and maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package of work.
  • Responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans/schedules that reflect the work required to deliver the package of work.
  • Lead the change management process for the package of work including Programme/Product Change Boards (PCB) and Baseline Change Requests (BCR).
  • Ensure effective controls are implemented in accordance with the company management procedures.
  • Report the status of projects/project portfolios in accordance with the requirements of the project.
  • Manage and report variances to project baseline and report project Key Performance Indicators, review project data, identify and report trends, highlight anomalies and propose corrective action if performance is outside specification.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of Project management and planning and control activities and ideally, project management qualification e.g. APM, Agile etc.
  • Knowledge/experience of SAP, Coupa and Primavera P6 is required.
  • Experience of Estimating, Forecasting and Change Control
  • Strong planning and organisational skills to manage short, medium- and long-term activities and deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country
