The Role:
Responsible for driving Margin enhancement across all NSC business units, through the following:
  • Identify under-performing projects and understand root causes of performance issues by reference to project business cases and commercial agreements.
  • Work with business unit leadership to identify remedial actions to improve project margins
  • Manage the required stakeholders in order to implement identified actions
  • Report on progress of action plans to Senior Leadership.
Responsibilities:
Monthly Tasks
  • On a rotating basis review contracts/statement of works and produce commercial summary, identifying additional revenue opportunities.

  • Ensure all projects have a expected margin supported by original or updated business case
  • Monthly report on underperforming projects
  • Monthly report on project performance by personal with financial responsibility for the project
  • Identify and manage underutilised resources.
  • Work with pre sales team to standardise the output of business models used to approve deals
  • Review new projects to ensure all documents are complete, commercial summary produced and initial results are as expected
  • Review termination projects and ensure all resources/costs are managed to end with the project
Qualifications:
Would suit someone with the following characteristics:
  • Numerate with strong Excel skills
  • Familiar with reviewing commercial agreements in order to identify areas of opportunity / breach
  • Curious and likes getting stuck into the detail
  • Ability to interact with and influence senior stakeholders
