CWL is seeking a driven and motivated Jr. Project Analyst to support our growth objectives in Western Canada. This role will be responsible for working across functional teams and will play a vital role in the internal workings of projects and financial forecasting to help support the Operations team. As a Jr. Project Analyst, you will assist the Project Controls Team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of project controls processes and procedures for various projects. You will support the Project Controls team in data analysis, monitoring, and reporting of project performance, and assist in maintaining project schedules, cost reports, and records management. Additionally, you will play a key role in project setup, project invoicing, and assisting with an ERP transition. The successful candidate will be required to operate out of the Calgary Office.
Role and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop baseline project progress curves and monitor actual and forecasted progress.
- Assist in project setup and ensure all necessary documents and approvals are in place.
- Prepare project invoices and ensure timely and accurate submission to clients.
- Support the Project Controls team in data analysis, monitoring, and reporting of project performance.
- Assist in identifying project issues and providing recommendations for corrective action.
- Participate in project meetings and provide support to project teams as required.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation and records.
- Assist in preparing and presenting project reports and analysis to management.
- Assist in the implementation of an ERP system, including data migration, testing, and training.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications Include:
- Recent graduate from a post-secondary institution or business related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Previous experience in a Business Analyst or Project Controls or related field is an asset.
- Knowledge of PowerBi is an asset.
- Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
