Contract Type: Part time, fixed term (5 years).

Salary: Grade 6 £31,834.82 - £38,213.82 Pro Rata incl London Allowance
Location: Bloomsbury, London
Hours: 7 hours per week

About the Department:

The School of Law, SOAS is the only one of its kind in the UK that is dedicated to legal systems and legal challenges of the developing world, with complementary strengths in human rights, international law and institutions, environmental law and international trade and commerce.

We have unrivalled expertise and produce world-leading research in comparative law (China, Africa, South/South-East Asia, the Middle East), complemented by specialists in international and transnational law, human rights, transnational commercial law, environmental law, and socio-legal method.

About the Role

The Project Administrator will provide pro-active professional support and guidance for the Leverhulme Trust-funded Research Leadership Award, The Social Life of Law in Authoritarian India. The project comprises a principal investigator (Dr. Mayur Suresh) who will lead a team of researchers and PhD students. The project involves a programme of research and engagement activities both in the UK and in India.

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient Project management of all activities of the project, satisfying the Leverhulme Trust (the funder) and SOAS University of London, in terms of legal, statutory and compliance requirements
