Health Innovation Network has recently been relicensed and has secured some high-profile contracts – which means we are keen to recruit a new cohort of passionate and project staff as part of a plan to develop our passionate and high-performing team at theaward-winningHealth Innovation Network(HIN).
HIN runs a range of programmes supporting the adoption of innovation in health and care, including the award-winningDigitalHealth.LondonAccelerator programme. Hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, we enjoy the benefits of being NHS members of staff while focusing on innovation to improve the lives of patients and staff in the health and care sector.
These Project Support Administrator posts will form a new cohort of project support professionals to work on some of HIN’s priority projects, including digital transformation, cardiovascular, innovators support and DigitalHealth.London. These post holders are expected to engage in training and development opportunities such as our “HIN Academy” to help them develop the skills and know-how for their careers to progress in project management and/or healthcare.
Previous post holders have been successful in developing their careers and many have successfully progressed to senior roles in HIN and elsewhere.

The Programme Support Administrator will provide administrative functions for projects that support CCGs, innovative companies, innovators, and other health and social care organisations. The focus of these projects is typically on enabling the adoption of innovation in health and care, many of which are digital so having an enthusiasm for technologies (such as AI, machine learning, remote monitoring, etc.) could be advantageous.
The post holder will be highly organised and have good communication skills with a view to developing a good understanding of health and care innovations including digital technologies, change, and improvement methods through the spreading of digital innovation across the country.
This post-holder will be the primary first point of contact for any queries directed to the projects that they work on and will be expected to be able to provide first-line responses to most queries.
This role is suitable for individuals that have both project administration and healthcare or technology qualifications/experience and that has a passion for innovation within the NHS.
What is the Health Innovation Network?
The HIN is the Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) is one of 15 AHSNs across England. We work across a range of health and care services through each of our clinical and innovation themes, to transform care in diabetes, patient safety, mental health, cardiovascular and healthy ageing and to accelerate innovations into the NHS.
As part of the HIN adaptable working principles, which allows our ability to adapt to anticipated changes in project portfolios and gives staff the opportunity to enhance their skills and expertise, the successful candidate may be asked to operate across other themes and projects. At the moment the team is working in a hybrid fashion, and the postholder is expected to be available to work from our office near Waterloo or at client/stakeholders sites elsewhere in London on any working day, although at the moment most team members are working from the office approx. 2 days per week.
