PROGRAMME OFFICER, Communications – PART-TIME

The Create South East Programme is designed to support creative businesses from across Essex, Kent, East and West Sussex with the support and the investment they need to grow their business and turn their innovative creative ideas into the leading creative businesses of the future.

THE ROLE
We are seeking a part-time Officer who will operate at the heart of our Create South East Programme. This is an opportunity for someone who is seeking to grow their skills and broaden their marketing and communications experience within the creative sector.

LOCATION: The successful candidate will be based in the Create South East area (Essex, Kent, Sussex). Creative UK operate a flexible hybrid working policy, this role will require remote working with the scope to explore office space within Delivery Partner organisations, as part of the developing activity. Candidates should have a willingness to travel across South East region.
CONTRACT: Part-time 3 days per week, fixed term to March 2025, flexible to freelance contract if preferred.
SALARY: £25,000 FTE, equivalent freelance fee available on request

Responsible to: Programme Manager
Responsible for: Freelance Contractors
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Communications:
- Lead in researching regional and partner activity, creative clusters, gaps in the market, trends and needs across the South East to help shape programme planning
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and deliver a regional communications campaign to include:
- Social Media
- Press and PR
- Newsletters
- ‘Cascade’ Marketing
- Case Studies
- Prepare reports for the Programme Team, using communications data to identify trends, ‘cold spots’ and priorities.
Additional Duties:
- Support the team with administrative tasks when necessary.
- Liaise with Create South East colleagues, reporting into team and steering group meetings.

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge and/or passion for the Culture and Creative sector
- Knowledge and/or passion for the South East
- Demonstrable experience of working in a similar administrative or communications role
- Experience of managing competing priorities
- Attention to detail
- Experience of working to tight deadline
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Competent skills in Microsoft Office365
Desirable Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Marketing experience
- Experience working with CRM systems
- Experience in managing budgets/supporting the management of budgets
