Fixed term contract for three years | 37 hours per week | £30,151 to £32,020 per annum (Grade H) | Norwich

The Environment Service has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Officer working within the Programme and Contracts Team, providing financial monitoring and reporting for a range of services across the Environment Teams including Protected Landscapes, Greenways to Green Spaces, Natural Norfolk and Specialist Advice covering Ecology, Arboriculture, Biodiversity and the Historic Environment.

To assist with our ambitious plans, we are looking for a highly organised, experienced and motivated individual. The successful applicant will assist the Programme Team Leader and Senior Managers with progressing new funding opportunities, producing monthly financial/activity reports giving robust, timely and accurate monitoring on a wide range of projects, preparing funding claims, and support in the annual budget setting cycle.

The Environment Service supports Norfolk County Council’s response to climate change via the Norfolk Environment Policy and Climate Strategy. Work is delivered through significant and high-profile partnership working with diverse stakeholders and management of a complex mix of human and financial resources. Project elements range from high-level, high-value strategic initiatives to small-scale works in collaboration with local communities and volunteers.
