Cantab Academy is a high-quality higher-education short-term course provider based in Cambridge. We are seeking a Programme Manager to join our team and lead a summer programme for a group of undergraduate students from one of the top universities in China in Cambridge and London during 23rd July and 18th August 2023.

About the Programme
- Name: Cambridge Programme on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Introduction: this is an academic-intensive summer programme, with lectures given by speakers from the University of Cambridge and other top universities, as well as speakers from leading firms in AI industries
- Dates and Location: 3 weeks in Cambridge (including airport pick-up): 23.07.2023 - 11.08.2023; 1 week in London (including airport see-off): 11.08.2023 - 18.08.2023
- Note: Your available time should fit at least the schedule in Cambridge
Duties and Responsibilities
You will lead and guide a small group of undergraduates (around 15 people) and deliver a memorable and enriching experience that will last the students a lifetime.
As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Attend preparation meetings and get familiar with the programme details before the programme starts
- Run the programme, leading and guiding the students, hosting activities and dealing with emergency issues(if applicable) on a daily basis
- Accompany students from their accommodation to the classroom/activity venue and late back to their accommodation on a daily basis, excluding weekends
- Prepare the classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards and assist with the display of work
- Collaborate with the course supervisor/speakers to assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons, tailored to the needs of the group
- Support students in their learning, providing guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback
- Provide regular feedback to the supporting team of Cantab Academy
- Write daily brief reports (template will be provided) and take photos for the programme
- Write students' course reports after the programme ends (template will be provided)
- Write a final report after the programme ends (template will be provided)
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related area, or at least a senior year in your undergraduate study
- Students or graduates from the University of Cambridge preferred
- Full-time attendance required for the programme hours
- Highly organised and flexible in a changing day-to-day operational environment
- Experience of event management and administration (or similar experience)
- Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills
- A desire to work with students and exchanging and communicating ideas
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver an exemplary programme
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Fluent in spoken and written Chinese (preferred)
- Cambridge-area based preferred
