Due to a recent business win, we have a requirement for a Programme Finance Analyst based in the UK working at the Leidos Farnborough site and remotely. Your Role and Responsibilities;

As a result of some exciting programme wins, we currently have a permanent vacancy for a Programme Finance Analyst to work alongside the Senior Programme Manager for our Government client. Supporting a multi-functional team and to manage the scheduling of project delivery, change and new business. This position is a full time, permanent role and applicants must have SC clearance or be willing to undergo the clearance process.

The role will be embedded in the P3M Team supporting the transition, development & in-service running (inc capability upgrades) of an IT application and Network solution providing support to a critical operational end user.

  • Act as the primary finance point of contact for the designated business areas; providing support and information to enable timely and accurate decision making.
  • Full planning cycle finance analyst support for product categories.
  • Perform financial Estimates At Complete (EAC) in collaboration with cross-functional subject matter experts to support regular reporting and presentations to Senior Leadership.
  • Extracting data and compiling performance reports while assisting with preparing variance analyses.
  • Calculation of product cost savings from procurement and life cycle cost reduction activities.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly financial forecasting process across designated product groups and take ownership of the submitted forecast.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of Risks and Opportunities and support operational teams to identify and implement mitigation plans driving profitability.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and recommendations for the business, and support strategy development.
  • Drive consistency and standardisation across the wider Leidos Finance Team, ensuring compliance to Leidos standards and requirements.
  • Support the development of performance metrics and management information for use by programme leadership team.
  • Actively support and respond to customer queries and audit requests.
  • Support external audit.

You will be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously to achieve day to day objectives with significant results on project or operational deliverables. Whilst also owning a variety of activities ensuring compliance with project milestones and customer KPI’s and SLA’s. You must be an effective communicator, comfortable directly engaging with customers and colleagues. You must also demonstrate an analytical and systematic approach to technical challenges.

Favorable If You Have;

We are looking for someone with excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills who has:

  • Experience of working within a project or programme finance team

  • Business (Finance) Acumen

  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience of using Orcale is desirable

  • Experience of owning, driving and delivering business results

  • IT proficient (particularly Excel, PowerPoint)

  • At least part-qualified accountant; with an intent to qualify with a professional body.

  • Background in Accounting, Economics, Business, Finance or Project Accounting / Controlling preferred.
