We have an opportunity to join our growing strategic sales team, as a Program Director. In this role, you will take accountability for the successful delivery of projects of very high complexity/risk programmes, by directing, leading, and driving the programme delivery. The Program Director is a key role in growing Sopra Steria, through shaping and winning large scale sales opportunities and then delivering the transformation programmes. This position will provide you with an integral role to the continued growth and success of Sopra Steria business.
Hybrid Variable, with a base location of either our Hemel or London offices. Some travel will be required.
What you will be doing:
- Establishing a coherent and optimal programme team and programme governance structure, engaging the customer and subcontractors at leadership and executive (C) levels to promote and influence a collaborative programme delivery culture.
- Coaching, guiding and directing project managers and project teams, to ensure that effective project controls and project management best practice are established and maintained for all work-streams and projects within the programme span of control, and that all projects and work-streams conform with the Sopra Steria Programme and Project Management Policy.
- Leading by example, being visible and accessible, and setting the tone and pace for the programme by clearly communicating programme goals and success criteria, clearly specifying required outcomes and establishing priorities.
- Facilitating and promoting the effective engagement of customer, subcontractor, third party and Sopra Steria stakeholders throughout the programme delivery, verifying that positive, enduring relationships are being developed and nurtured.
- Ensuring that a clear understanding of each work stream and projects’ progress, plans, risk and status are regularly, clearly and accurately reported, remediating conflicts and exceptions whenever necessary.
What you’ll bring:
- In depth professional experience, with a combination of operational and technology transformation
- Demonstrable Programme Management competence required for the role, including a robust knowledge of key issues, challenges and opportunities in process excellence, with knowledge in either Lean Six Sigma, Agile or Prince 2.
- Strong project and programme management skills with the including the ability to translate strategies into clear programmes and projects for delivery

Salary: Up to £125k pa, depending on experience
