Job Req ID: 15350
Posting Date: 27-Apr-2023
Function: Agile Capability
Location: 1 Braham Street, London, United Kingdom
Salary: Competitive with great benefits
Why this job matters

The ISP (Internet Services Provider) Team provides the service millions of BT, EE and Plusnet customers use to access the internet. Although other Internet Service Providers also use the BT Openreach Network, the additional products, and services we offer make our brands distinct from other ISPs. For example, parental network controls, best possible services on video streaming and mobile and BB networks together for the most reliable BB service. The type of work we will be concentrating on in the coming years includes cutting-edge delivery of media content across the network, network simplification across BT Group Brands, technology modernisation (e.g., continuously increasing security and privacy for our customers, and transitioning to an entire IPv6 network) and leveraging data automation.

We have created a cross-functional virtual team called a Tribe. The team is formed around the products ensuring we have expert knowledge technically, commercially, and operationally and understand our customers well. The Tribe is responsible for operating the live services, actively maintaining the platforms and delivering new changes. We are recruiting a Programme Delivery Manager to lead the ISP Tribe and deliver exceptional services to our esteemed customers.

This Programme Delivery Manager role has two critical focuses:

Leading the Tribe - responsible for creating the right environment and culture for the tribe/team to deliver more value sooner. You'll focus on continually improving how the team works and ensuring a safe, motivated, and engaged team that delivers against its goals and commitments.

Programme Delivery – Embedding good delivery practices into the Tribe. Where larger change projects are necessary, you may be responsible to programme manage the delivery. You may otherwise be supplemented with PMs or work with Technical Delivery Managers to deliver the more significant changes. In this case, you will provide the necessary support around governance, best practice, and stakeholder management and drive operational risks and issue management. As the Programme Delivery Manager overseeing the ISP Tribe, you will work alongside a Tribe Product Owner (Strategy, Product Objectives, and quarterly Priorities), a Tribe Technical Lead (Technology evolution and solutions) and Product Subject Matter Experts (specialists in how the underlying products operate).

This role can be based in London, Ipswich, or Birmingham. In addition, the role offers an opportunity for hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 days wherever you like).
